Life is here and now - Buddha

The Ammerland, especially Bad Zwischenahn at the lake, is characterized by unique parkland made up of moors, heather, forest and meadows. About 380 kilometres of well marked walking and cycling ways invite you to tours on foot or by bike.

Bad Zwischenahn lies about 40 minutes south of the North Sea and therefore has a mild bracing climate. The air is nearly dust-free due to the prevalent winds. The lake Zwischenahner Meer – called the “Pearl of the Ammerland” – is one of the most beautiful inland waters of Lower Saxony with an area of 526 hectares (5.3 square kilometres).

Right in this wonderful region, some three kilometres from the Zwischenahner Meer, you suddenly find yourself “somewhere in the nowhere”, in a unique place in Germany and not far from the coast of East Frisia.

An idyllic forest path branching off an old clinker brick road leads you directly into the Resort Baumgeflüster with its old tree population of about 30 m height. In May and June the rhododendron bushes shine between beeches and oaks.

An apple orchard with a wild flower meadow and a football field are under development. On the picnic site in the forest you can recreate with a view at the surrounding nature which is inspiring, restful and beautiful at any time of year. In Spring, Summer, Indian Summer and in Winter’s snow flurry…

Allow yourself to be enchanted!
